Bruce Lee’s art was too fast to be captured

Most martial art films are sped up to make fighting scenes appear fast; it was the opposite of the norm in the case of Bruce Lee’s films. His actions were very fast and could not be captured on the regular 24 frames per second (fps). So his moves had to be filmed at 32 fps, and the film was run slower so that one could see his moves.

This softest metal melts when held in hand

Gallium is a soft and brittle metal which is found in bauxite or zinc ores. It melts at 29.7 degrees celsius, which  is  about  room  temperature. In fact, if you hold Gallium in your hand, it will melt. Gallium is mostly used in microwave technology.

Is it Friday, the 13th?

If 1st is a Sunday, then 8th is also a Sunday because 8 = 1 + 7. Then 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th are respectively Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Hence, 13th is Friday. If one considers ‘Friday, the 13th’ to be a bad omen, one should not be happy with the first day of the month being a Sunday, thus a holiday.

From a meteorite crater site to a World Heritage Site

About two billion years ago a meteorite which was about ten kilometres in diameter hit an area near the town of Vredefort Dome near Johannesburg in South Africa. The impact of that meteorite created a crater that is 380 km across. Among the earth’s 130 meteorite crater sites Vredefort Dome is the top third and is considered a World Heritage Site.
