Usain Bolt: The man with lightning speed

Usain Bolt, the only person who holds a ‘triple treble’ Olympic record, is currently the fastest man alive. The Jamaican sprinter is the first person to hold the 100 meters and 200 meters world records. His popularity worldwide soared with his victory at the two individual sprint events in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Bolt won 9 Olympic medals at three consecutive Olympics – Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016. He won these in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4×100 meters relay events.

Who invented the first practical helicopter and when?

Prof. Henrich Focke, a German inventor, devised the first practical helicopter called the Focke-Wulf Fw 16, which was successfully flown in 1936.  By 1938 it set many world records for altitude, speed and flight duration. It could be flown by a pilot after only one hour of pilot briefing.

The skydiver who became the first to break the sound barrier

Felix Baumgartner became the first person in the world to break the sound barrier. The sound barrier is 1110.45 kilometres per hour (690 miles per hour). On 14 October 2012, he skydived from an altitude of 38.62 kilometres (24 miles) and was in a free fall for more than 4 minutes, and then he hit the supersonic speed of over 1342 km/h or Mach 1.24.
