Zebra stripes throw off predators

All zebras have black and white stripes, but they differ in their pattern. In fact, no two zebras have the same pattern. It is believed that the patterns can confuse a predator like a lion, when the zebras are in a herd, making it difficult to separate and kill a zebra.

Guess the length of a walrus’s tusks

The tusks of a walrus are the upper canine teeth which grow very long, sometimes to even one metre. They use their tusks for gripping ice, fighting enemies and even for scraping up the shellfish and clams they eat. The tusks are also indicators of their age and importance. The one with longest tusk leads the herd.
