B. S. Chandrasekhar, the match-winning leg spinner of India who among other accolades, was named as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year 1972 and won Wisden’s Best Bowling Performance of the Century award in 2002 (for his figures of six wickets for 38 runs against England in the Oval Test, 1971) had a polio in his right arm, that is the bowling arm, at a very young age.
